You can complete story tasks once you’ve collected enough coins to unlock them. You will know that you’ve unlocked a task when you get a red exclamation mark on your task list.

Then, you have to tap on the green “Go” button which also displays the price of the task. You will get to read some dialogue that is part of the story and sometimes get to repair a part of the Café.
